I'm a freelance astrophysicist, specializing in science writing, data analysis, and computational cosmology. These days, I'm at PLOS Labs, working to change the way scientists communicate with one another. I have a Ph.D. in cosmology and a bachelor's in philosophy and physics. My other areas of expertise and interest include the history of science, Python for scientific analysis, interactive data visualization (especially with D3.js), and playing with liquid nitrogen.
